Torah Reading Schedule 5768 (2007-08)
Kehilat Sar Shalom / Beth Yeshua

A devout Jew in Israel reads a Torah portion
in the Rabbi's Tunnel.

The following is the weekly Torah reading schedule from the synagogue lection for Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. By following these weekly readings, you will read through the five books of the Torah over the course of one year. The reading schedule begins with Genesis at the close of the Festival of Sukkot.

In addition to the weekly portions from the Torah, there is an accompanying Synagogue-lection reading from the Prophets called the "Haftarah." This reading is meant to complement the week's Torah portion.

The suggested Gospel readings are included for those who may desire to read through the Gospels and Acts over the course of a Torah year. These are not part of the traditional lection readings, but we at RabbiYeshua.com feel they make a welcome accompaniment to the Torah and Haftarah readings. They are paced to move the reader through the books along with the Torah cycle.

Starred ** entries indicate festival readings.
