Peter says:
2 Peter 3:7-9: "By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: with the Lord a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

Paul says:
Ephesians 1:21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the coming age.

1 Corinthians 2:8 None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

1 Timothy 6:19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age , so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Hebrews 4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;

God said:
Genesis 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

The serpant said:
Genesis 3:4 You will not surely die," the serpent said to the woman. "For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil."

Did Adam die on the day he ate from the tree?

History says:
Altogether, Adam lived 930 years, and then he died. (Genesis 5:5)

Adam died in the day he ate because with the L-RD a day is as a thousand years.
